Thai Massage

Thai Massage is a 2500-year-old practice developed on the crossroads between India and China; hence, it is a combination of yoga and Chinese massage (Tui-Na).  The recipient is gracefully moved from back to side to stomach to sitting positions on an oversized mat.  Wearing loose fitting clothing, the recipient receives hands-on work comprised of gentle rocking, slow compressions, deep assisted stretching, and specific acupressure.  This opens the pathways in the body creating harmony within; including opening joints, increasing flexibility, and releasing deep and superficial tension.

Swedish Massage

Swedish massage with Christina is a full body experience.  She blends her knowledge of the working body and the subtle body to help relax and rejuvenate the whole body.  She helps the client come to a better understanding of their body thru awareness of areas that are more tense and conversation (when prompted by client) of various health questions and concerns.

Christina likes to do massage in conjunction with acupuncture when treating a pain related area; tight neck/shoulder, low back, post surgery rehab, tennis/golfer’s elbow, knee problems, to name a few.  This she considers “Medical Massage” as it is the area of pain that is massaged.

Therapeutic massage is a broad term that encompasses an assortment of specific techniques that involve the targeted manipulation of the body’s soft tissue through coordinated pressure and movement. All of these “touch therapies” integrate specific strokes and practices to facilitate change in the body. Our experienced massage therapists may recommend including one or more of the following techniques in a session, based on each client’s particular needs and goals.
